Now Roy's gone.

C. Johnson - I ***ume your talking about Ocho Cinco and not Calvin - but he is of the same mold as TO. I don't want him, and I'd rather start Alex Trebek at WR than that loudmouth.
Glad to see Roy gone at this point. Next let's kill Ellis' spot because he is a cancer as well.
It is going to be interesting to see what Jerry does to patch these holes.
Here's the plan to replace Canty -

Having lost Chris Canty to the New York Giants the Cowboys are visiting with free agent defensive end Igor Olshansky today and tomorrow.
Olshansky has a history with coach Wade Phillips having played for him in San Diego. So far this offseason the Cowboys have signed two players with a background with Phillips in Keith Brooking and Matt Stewart.
Olshansky started 70 games from 2004-2008 with the Chargers and was credited with 179 tackles and 11 sacks.

Yup, Ocho Cinco. He's good and performs, he wanted out of Cincy and I don't blame him. We get a pretty good receiver and the TD celebrations. With all this going on, Jerry is going to do something big with this...as much as I like TO, I have a feeling we are going to be making some big moves.
I just honestly don't know. We don't really have anything to trade for anybdoy now except next year's draft picks. And to trade and get 85 - how much do we have to give up for one position? The trade for Roy was quite expensive....another trade for another WR would set the franchise back a year or two if came at that price.
But I think Jerry is gonna spend like hell NEXT year....Not this one.
Igor would be a nice pickup. If were going to go get a old WR on the market, go get Joey Galloway back, not Marv H. I think Marv's time has come and gone. Galloway has looked like he still has a little in the tank the past couple of years. Harrisons injury 2 years ago still scares me to a degree. At that time, they were saying every week for the rest of his career may be day to day.
I might be mistaken - but didn't Amani Toomer say that he wasn't planning on going back to the Giants? I wouldn't mind having him around. Not a speed guy, but he gets the job done.
And Igor would be an upgrade over Canty IMO. Only problem is if they get him, Ratliff is gonna have to play NT. I'd rather him be on one of the ends.
Belicheat interested in Galloway.

What did we give up for Pacman? Wasn't it some draft picks?
It was last year's fourth round pick. If he played all of last year, we had to give them another pick. But since he was punished by the league and then cut, the Titans owe us a fifth round pick I'm pretty sure. So we traded last year's fourth round pick for the Titan's fifth this year and a small rental of a terrible CB.
